Blue Tit madness

Some Blue Tit stats from Falsterbo:

• The highest daily total for birds migrating from Nabben was 30,600 birds on 28th September 2003.
• The highest annual total for birds migrating from Nabben is 136,672, set in 1996. The second highest annual total was 82,348 in 2003.
• The highest daily ringing total was 1,954 on 28th September 2003.

And some Blue Tits stats from today:

• 87,400 Blue Tits were recorded migrating from Nabben.
• 2,018 Blue Tits were ringed in the lighthouse garden.

To put that into perspective, today's migration count is almost triple the previous record and is higher than all but one annual total! Crazy stuff.
