Hula Valley Bird Festival roundup

I've cobbled together the best (hmm) of the footage, cunningly grabbed half a dozen festival attendees to do some talking (so I don't have to), and put together this short piece showcasing some of the birds, some of the mammals, and a bit of the art at last week's Hula Valley Bird Festival. With apologies for shaky footage and even shakier sound.

And there's also a short(ish) article on BirdGuides detailing the week with a collection of pictures.  Click >here< to view.

Morning Stephen,

Enjoyed your article on the Hula Valley (which I got to via Facebook link from Agamon Hula, one of my Like pages). Looks like a great place that you captured very well.... What struck me in particular besides the natural beauty were the words you used here.... ‎"Despite the Hula Valley's close proximity to both the Lebanese and Syrian borders, at no point during the trip did we ever feel uncomfortable with the security situation."

Across the Atlantic and countries away from the Rio Grande and Los Dos Laredos (Texas-Mexico border), where I find myself as part owner of the only kayak outfitting business on the Rio Grande south of Big Bend (Big River Outfitters), your words/thoughts sound amazingly similar to the situation we have here where we struggle to get the word out that using the Rio Grande for recreation is NOT a security problem, despite the drug wars going on south of us. Thanks for the article.
