The Fieldfare was still present today, still scoffing apples and chasing Blackbirds.

There does indeed seem to be two old greater coverts on the left wing, seemingly confirming that the bird is a first-winter. Not too unusually, the number of OGCs on each wing is asymmetrical and this bird only seems to show 1 OGC on the right wing. Getting a picture of that has proved to be impossible though since the bird only ever feeds facing left!
